Celebrating Black Culture, Creativity & Community in Portsmouth
Join us for Pamodzi’s first Black History Month celebration of Black culture in Portsmouth – a dynamic, creative, and community-rooted event spotlighting the contributions, heritage and creativity of people of African and Caribbean heritage across the city.
We’re incredibly proud to bring this landmark celebration to The Wedgewood Rooms, one of Portsmouth’s most iconic cultural spaces. Known for championing independent voices and grassroots creativity, the Wedge has hosted everything from legendary music gigs to powerful community events. It’s an honour to add this celebration of Black excellence to its legacy.
This event is also part of the Celebrating Cultural Diversity in Schools project, delivered in collaboration with Admiral Lord Nelson School.
Date: Saturday 5th October 2025
